FIFA revealed the full match schedule for the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027, confirming that all 64 fixtures will take place across eight cities in Brazil. The announcement was made at FIFA headquarters in Zurich during the live draw for the preliminary phase of the tournament’s Play-Off event.
Host nation Brazil will launch their campaign at the Estadio do Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro on June 24. Their second group-stage game is scheduled for June 29 at Arena Itaquera in São Paulo. Brazil’s final group-stage match will take place at Estadio Nacional in Brasilia on July 4.
Each of the eight host cities will hold at least seven matches, including a minimum of one knockout round fixture. The cities include Brasilia, Porto Alegre, Recife, Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.
Matches up to the Round of 16 will be played in Brasilia, Porto Alegre, Recife, and Salvador. Belo Horizonte and Fortaleza will join Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo as venues for the quarter-finals. São Paulo will host one semi-final and the Bronze Final, while the other semi-final and the final are set for the Maracanã stadium in Rio de Janeiro.
The Maracanã will become only the third stadium to host both a FIFA World cup final and a FIFA Women’s World Cup final. It joins Solna’s Rasunda Stadium, which held the 1958 men’s and 1995 women’s finals, and the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, site of the 1994 men’s and 1999 women’s finals.
FIFA Fan Festivals will be organised throughout the event, enabling fans across Brazil to engage with the tournament beyond the match venues.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said, “We can’t wait to witness a new chapter of women’s football history unfold when the world’s best players, coaches, fans and local communities take centre stage in Brazil next year.” He added, “I already have goosebumps thinking about the incredible passion, colour and energy that Brazilian fans will bring to the tournament as they welcome the world to eight vibrant Host Cities.”
The tournament schedule is designed to build momentum through the group stage and knockout rounds, culminating in the final at the Maracanã.
